A close acquaintance of mine passed away last week, which brings a time for reflection, taking a long breath, and looking inward. The woman that passed fought cancer for 13 years, and lost her daughter earlier this year. I missed the immediate news, a result of losing touch over time…
I viewed her life story web site tonight, visited all the pages, and came across this poem….very positive, actually, and one that resonated with me personally, – a great, positive attitude – and pretty simple, really – wanted to share… (I’ve never seen it, maybe some of you have, so bear with me )
Yesterday is the past.
Tomorrow is the future.
Today is a gift.
That’s why we call it the present.
Enjoy every day you can.
So, I am reminded of a few, simple and important things: I am reminded to take time to stay in touch – relationships are important I am reminded that we must treat one another with trust and respect to forge true partnerships I am reminded that every day we are awarded another challenge, it is a present – one we don’t take lightly and one we must make the most of, for ourselves and our clients. The poem reminded me that through all the tough, tense pressure we endure everyday, we continue to celebrate and grow as individuals and as a company.
It reminded me of us.
